About Sevilla
Sevilla (Seville in English) is the Capital of Andalucia and is the 4th largest city in Spain. The city itself has a population of approximately 700,000. Sevilla is a friendly and captivating place to visit. The busy city centre is well pedestrianised and many of Sevilla's best attractions are within easy walking distance.
Rich in History
With a subtropical climate and an average of more than 300 days sunshine, the coastline near Sevilla has many wonderful beaches and has become a popular place to relax. Sevilla lies on the banks of the Guadalquivir and is one of the largest historical centres in Europe, it has the minaret of La Giralda, the Cathedral and the Alcázar Palace. Parts of its treasures include Casa de Pilatos, Torre del Oro, the Town Hall, Archive of the Indies (where the historical records of the American continent are kept). It is also home to the second largest gallery in Spain further underlining its importance as a city.
International Exhibitions
Sevilla has been in the spotlight of the world's attention by holding international exhibitions on 2 occasions in 1929, it hosted the Latin American Exhibition, which left and more recently, the Expo 92 reinforced the image of Sevilla as a modern and dynamic city.

The Sevillians are proud, colourful, and very fun loving people full of wit and vitality. No time are these attributes better displayed than at the annual Feria de Abril, a week-long party of drink, food and dance which takes place day and night it is truly a spectacle of colours, beautiful women, gallant handsome men and lots and lots of food and drink.
