In addition you will be able to take a tour of the Alcaicería, which was the former Arab souk, the market where silk was traded. Around you, you will find the Madrasa (Arab University), the Corral del Carbon (Fondak) and the Plaza Bib-Rambla, along side which is the Cathedral, the first temple to be built in renaissance Spain, and houses the Royal Chapel, the burial place of the catholic monarchs, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, her daughter Princess Juana la Loca and Prince Philip the Handsome.
There is also a museum for you to visit, which houses a superb collection of early Flemish, Italian, and Spanish paintings, along with various objet d´art belonging to catholic kings.
To crown off your visit to Granada, you will take a trip to Albaycín, which was a former Arab neighbourhood consisting of typical narrow streets and whitewashed houses, which are full of character and charm. It is also in this neighbourhood that you will find the famous Carmena and some excellent vantage points to take in the Plaza de San Nicolas.
